**Type**:Interim - minimum 3 months
**Salary: £20 an hour umbrella**
PA/Executive Assistant required to join fast paced organisation to provide a professional, high level and comprehensive PA/administrative support service to the Chair and Director of Corporate Governance.
**As a PA/ Executive Assistant you will be required to**:
- Act as Personal Assistant to the Chair and Director of Corporate Governance as required, providing the full range of secretarial and administrative support services. This will range from routine correspondence to matters of a confidential or sensitive nature
- Be responsible for the day to day functioning of the office, dealing with incoming mail, sorting, distributing/circulating as appropriate and acting on urgent matters without further advice
- Provide advice and reasonable support to staff within the Non-Executive team, enabling an efficient administrative function to best support the activity of the Executives
- Draft and prepare reports on behalf of the Chair and Director of Governance as required for Council of Governors, Board, Committees or other meetings
- Liaise with Corporate Assurance Officers to ensure the prompt submission of reports on behalf of the allocated member(s) of the Executive.
**Required skills and experience of the PA/Executive Assistant**:
- Business/professional qualification to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience within a professional setting in relation to administration
- Shorthand or speedwriting
- GCSE English or equivalent
- Evidence of continuing professional and personal development
- Advanced IT skills in Microsoft Office packages
- Advanced knowledge of a range of administrative procedures including diary management and arranging appointments
- Ability to manage diverse workload while dealing with frequent interruptions
- Ability to meet deadlines and to work under pressure
- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to prioritise
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to provide a high standard of secretarial support for meetings
- Knowledge of our business and how it supports patient care
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbalrr
- Able to deal confidentially and tactfully with people at all levels
- Ability to take and convey clear messages
- Experience in dealing with people in distress in a calm and confident manner
- Ability to recognise when other communication aids may be needed
- Willingness to embrace new ways of working/changes
