We are working with an established Insurance Brokers in South Manchester to secure them a Motor Claims Handler. The main responsibility of this role is to take accountability of customer satisfaction and achievement of targets and objectives. This is a homebased role with training being done in the office. Salary is up to £27k, this is based on experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Action all aspects of third-party claims handling specifically relating to Credit Hire using mitigation.
- Ability to gather a defined list of evidence and referral for liability assessment on a Without Prejudice basis where the policyholder’s version of events cannot be obtained.
- Arguments, case law, protocol arrangements, Copley arguments and negotiation skills to achieve settlement within targets.
- Proactively deal with all enquiries and provide a professional, efficient customer service.
- Effectively influence the third party and/or their representatives to negotiate and agree settlement within an average set target.
- Investigate and negotiate liability, obtaining version of events and all relevant evidence to support the liability decision.
- Identify any specific CHO behavior and collaborate on developing strategies for specific CHO’s.
- Adopt a pro-active approach to contain and minimize hire costs and avoid litigation.
- Ensure all proactive actions are taken (E.g. Settling a total loss) to mitigate the hire duration and cost.
- Action any credit hire cases presented through the injury portal above a set value (TBC) and provide the injury handler with accurate and clear guidance for settlement within portal time limits.
- An understanding of RTA insurer status and the implications to costs and recoverability from our policyholder.
- A thorough knowledge of current market trends relating to credit hire and fraud within a credit hire environment.
