We are now looking for an experienced Neighbourhood Officer to join the St Helens team on a permanent basis. The Neighbourhood Officer is key to ensuring the sustainability of our estates. This is a proactive role managing a portfolio of properties maintaining a high-quality service for tenants. You will be responsible in helping to maximise our income, ensure demand for our properties in challenging neighbourhoods and address any estate and tenancy management breaches.

**This is an important role in which you will**:

- Be responsible for performance and tenancy management of your property portfolio
- Carry out accompanied viewings, utilise incentives and liaise with the Allocations Team to ensure demand for your property portfolio.
- Participate in multi-agency meetings, working groups and other meetings to deliver required outcomes.
- To liaise with the appropriate Tenancy Sustain Officers to ensure the sustainment of tenancies, to ensure compliance with tenancy agreements and to protect demand and reduce costs
- To oversee your neighbourhood and proactively address any issues that would affect demand and costs, liaising with Safer Estates Compliance Officers, Tenant Involvement Team and Support Network as appropriate

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Experience of managing housing stock or delivering a service to clients.
- Knowledge of housing legislation
- The ability to negotiate with and influence partners and stakeholders to gain shared business aims.
- The skills to manage relationships with tenants including challenging non-compliance.
- A proactive, professional, commercial and resilient approach, able to work well at pace and produce innovative solutions.
- CIH level 3 or willingness to work towards
