CK Group are recruiting for a Product Development Scientist to join a leading medical diagnostics company at their site based in Gateshead on a permanent full-time basis.
**The Company**:
Our client are a market leader in their field and have pioneered advances in technology and instrumentation.
**Location**:
This role is located in Gateshead and the site is easily commutable from the A1(M) and surrounding towns/cities in the North East.
**Product Development Scientist Role**:
Your main duties will be:
- Log and perform first lines of investigations and troubleshooting of internal complaints reported to the department.
- Perform scientific and associated tasks while following appropriate protocols/plans to improve current product lines and investigate problem products.
- Design investigative experiments and write clear, detailed testing plans.
- Record, input and interpret data and present results in a scientific report format.
**Your Background**:
- Degree in life sciences or related field
- Experience, knowledge of and interest in gel and/or capillary electrophoresis
- Full driving licence - essential
- Proven ability within an industry-based Development, Quality Control, R&D and/or Technical Support setting - desirable
- Experience of GLP, CAPA, COSHH, REACH and ISO13485 - desirable
