**Job Description**:
**Role**: Campaigns Organiser
**Hours**: 37.5 per week, to include frequent evening and weekend working.
**Responsible to**: Campaigns Manager (Wales)
**Salary**: £25,000
**Location**: Cardiff or Swansea
**Purpose of the job**: To “put more gold on the map” getting more Welsh Liberal Democrat MSs, MPs, and councillors elected in a local area. To work with volunteers to increase capacity and deliver intensive year-round political campaigns.
**Closing date**: Friday, 14th March
**Key Responsibilities**:
Work with activists - by regular campaigning you will recruit new volunteers and upscale existing ones. You will organise and train our volunteers to get the most out of them while making campaigning fun.
Increase campaign output - help plan and execute weekly campaign activities, incl. communicating regularly with volunteers to organise canvassing, delivery, telephoning, and joining volunteers for those campaign activities.
Help get the campaign done - most of the job is active campaigning out and about, but will sometimes involve running of events, work in the office, and preparing skateboard's.
**Person Specification**:
You know how to organise yourself and get things done with attention to detail, in a busy work environment with competing deadlines.
You can create a fun campaigning atmosphere, motivate people and get the best out of them. You have strong interpersonal skills and can work in a team.
You will stay on top of your workload, communicating effectively with the team to make sure everyone knows what needs doing.
You are good at setting priorities and targets and sticking to them. You can multitask and have good verbal and written communication skills.
You care enough to do what needs to be done to help us deliver a winning campaign.
You have a working knowledge of standard office practices and computer packages.
Experience of engaging with a range of audiences, and a full, clean driving licence and access to a car would be desirable.
