The post offers an exciting opportunity to join the Reception and Security team as a front line team member. You would be part of a team offering front line service for all visitors, staff and patients to The Chichester Centre and customer service skills are a must have.
The Chichester Centre is a purpose built hospital for people who need rehabilitation and treatment within a secure environment. It has three low secure wards; 2 male and one female.
We aim to help patients understand and manage their mental health so that where possible, they can get back into the community.
Everyday within Forensic Services is different and if you enjoy a challenge then this post is one for you to consider.
We have one full time post available covering a shift pattern over seven days a week including weekends. Our current shift patterns are 7.00am to 8:30pm. The post is a Full Time post
The post holder will sensitively assist in the security of the Unit using a limited access system and the monitoring of the entry and egress point.
The post holder will be responsible for liaising with other key staff members within the Unit ensuring that an efficient service is being provided to all users.
Ensuring that the unit and its surrounds are safe and secure for both staff and service users.
Carry out regular audits, and assist ward staff and managers when required.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive Reception and Security service under the direction of the Clinical Security Coordinator for the site. Previous experience in a locked facility is desirable but more important is flexibility and customer service skills. Full training for the role will be given.
