From cutting-edge defence technology to ground-breaking innovations our mission is to empower and protect lives.Join us as a Hyperbaric Nurse at our Centre for Defence Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine (CDDHM)site in Chichester West Sussex where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.The RoleAs a Hyperbaric Nurse you will work within a multi-disciplinary team ensuring patients receive safe and high-quality care in accordance with NHS and QinetiQ guidelines.Day-to-day youll deliver patient-centred nursing care undertake clinical assessments and provide support during hyperbaric oxygen therapy while contributing to ongoing training governance and clinical excellence within the team.Your responsibilities will include:Delivering nursing care assessment planning and evaluation for hyperbaric and NHS patientsMonitoring patients condition and maintaining accurate clinical recordsParticipating in audits clinical governance and continuous professional developmentSupporting training and induction for staff and studentsMaintaining personal competency and fitness to work within the hyperbaric chamberParticipating in on-call duties which may include UK and overseas travelEssential experience of the Hyperbaric Nurse:Registered Nurse with intensive care or critical care experienceStrong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills Experience working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary teamKnowledge of NHS clinical governance and best practiceEffective communicator with strong documentation and record-keeping skillsAbility to remain calm and adaptable in high-pressure clinical situationsEssential qualifications for the Hyperbaric Nurse:Full NMC registrationDegree in Nursing or equivalent experiencePostgraduate qualification in Intensive Care Nursing or equivalentWe value difference and we dont have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.This role is 37 hours per weekbased at Chichester West Sussex. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will be expected.
