Trade Sales Assistant

We are looking for a customer focused proactive salesperson, who enjoys working as part of a team to join us as an **Internal Sales Advisor** to help drive the branch forward. It is a varied role including both account management and proactive sales, so some sales experience is essential.
In other words, someone who is a team player, has a willingness to learn and enthusiasm to thrive within our team in **Jewson **in **Milton Keynes.**
This is an essential role within the branch network and an important support to the whole branch team. You'll be the face (and voice) of the business, often the first point of contact a customer has with us.
You'll chat with customers throughout the day, both on the phone and in branch, helping them find the materials they need for their projects and converting these into orders.
**HOURS OF WORK**
Monday to Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm
Saturday 8:00am - 12:00 noon (every second week)
**What will I be doing?**
Our branches are busy places, with lots going on inside and out, and whilst the exact duties may vary here is a taster of the role.
- Developing relationships with both new and current customers
- Managing your own Portfolio of customers
- Contacting current and lapsed customers to see how we can support them
- Preparing quotes
- Processing orders through to completion
- Recognising potential new customers and getting touch
- Working behind the trade counter when required
- Every now and then taking part in stock checks
- Helping out in different areas of the branch (training will be provided) during absences, sickness or busy periods
