We are looking for an eager and self-motivated individual to join our Taught Programmes Team in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences as a Programmes Administrator in a full time (36.5 hours per week), permanent post.
You will play a key role in the team, working collaboratively with other team members and academic staff, to ensure the smooth and efficient administration and operation of our taught programmes within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. This will include day-to-day administrative support for teaching, assessment and student data management activities as well as the administration of programme related events, like Open Days and Applicant Visit Days.
You should have previous experience of working in a busy administrative role. Attention to detail is important, as is the ability to manage a busy workload with conflicting priorities. You should have strong computer skills, with sound proficiency in Word and Excel and the ability to learn the use of database systems.
As a Faculty, we embrace change and provide a supportive environment in which to grow, offering professional development opportunities with a strong belief in the value of investing in our people and teams. We organise Faculty Away days, social events, book/craft clubs and are open to new ideas. We love to support our local community and charities through fundraising events.
Hybrid working is one of the many ways we recognise the importance of achieving a positive work life balance. Whilst the exact days you can work remotely will differ between teams and departments, it should provide you with greater flexibility, provided you are in the UK. Learn more about our future ways of working and explore further at interview.
