**Facilities Administrator - Children and Young Peoples Service - Part-Time - On-Site**
**Hours**:Monday - Friday, 9am to 2pm _flexibility available. _
Location: The Thatch Vine Farm, Stockers Hill, Boughton-Under-Blean, Faversham, Kent, ME13 9AB
**Job Purpose**
The **Facilities Administrator** will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of maintenance and facilities operations across our children’s care homes. You will assist with the organization and scheduling of maintenance work, liaise with contractors, and provide administrative support to the maintenance team to ensure that our homes remain safe, welcoming, and compliant with all regulations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Act as the first point of contact for facilities-related inquiries from home staff and the maintenance team.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections, ensuring mínimal disruption to care operations.
- Maintain accurate records of safety certificates and schedule renewals as appropriate.
- Other tasks include fleet maintenance, Council Tax reconciliation, internet and telephone communications in the homes, and other duties to support the Facilities team as necessary.
- Liaise with external contractors where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of properties, contracts, and compliance documentation.
- Track and monitor maintenance requests to ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining relevant records.
- Support the maintenance team with administrative tasks, such as filing, correspondence, and report preparation.
**Person Specification**:
- You **must** have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including a good telephone manner.
- You **must** be Proficient in using Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and Outlook.
- You **must** be proficient in working with numbers.
- You **must** have excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- You **must** have a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- You **must** have an ability to work independently and on your own initiative within specified guidelines or processes.
- You **must** have the ability to thework appropriately with confidential and sensitive information.
- You **may** havean understanding of Ofsted regulations and compliance standards for children's homes.
- You **may** have experience working in a similar role previously.
