**Job Description**:
**AECOM is seeking a Grid Modernisation Strategy Leader (SL) to support our growing Energy Business Unit with a specific focus on grid modernisation. The SL directs, conducts, and coordinates the sales, marketing, research, and planning activities associated with grid modernisation business development for AECOM’s Energy Business in Europe.**

**The main focus is to help our clients transition to clean electricity, energy efficiency and mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to a changing climate. AECOM’s clients include private and utilities; developers; and other large public and private customers.**

**Success in this position requires a dynamic individual with high energy and motivation, an acute passion for developing solutions, a deep and current understanding of Transmission and Distribution sector in UK and/or Europe, regulatory structures and system and network operators, knowledge of the current pipeline of regional market levers and the ability to collaborate with a strategic interdisciplinary team of operations, technical experts, and business development professionals.**

**We are seeking an individual with strong interpersonal, organisational, creative problem-solving, collaboration and leadership skills with a proven expertise in business development and market strategy development and successful execution.**

**The responsibilities of this position include, but may not be limited to, the following**:

- Develop and implement multi-year growth strategy, including development of key performance metrics, client account plans, service offerings, market trend analysis and brand elevation/thought leadership.
- Identify, develop, and propose new projects; negotiate partnerships and alliances; structure and close transactions; manage senior-level relationships internally and externally; and maintain a sharp focus on client satisfaction throughout project/program lifecycle.
- Build collaborative solutions for clients across AECOM business
- Help recruit and build a strong team of professionals to enable the growth strategy.
- Establish, develop and maintain strong relationships with regional regulated energy utilities, investor-owned utilities, developers, contractors, regulator and government.
- Support Energy projects and programs during execution and implementation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate complex processes or ideas.
