**Operations Team Leader**

Nine Twenty Technology & Digital are delighted to be partnering with the creator of the UK’s largest and most advanced smart grid system, who are looking to an Operations Team Leader to join their evolving team.

**The Role**:
The Operations Team Leader will lead a team of experienced System Operators in a fast-paced environment as they undertake regular tasks such as: monitoring the status of all units taking part in a variety of demand response services; responding to system alerts, either by resolving problems directly or escalating them to senior staff, our Energy Partners or National Grid; responding to incoming telephone calls from Energy Partners or National Grid; associated data-capture, reporting and communication with other members of the wider business.

**Responsibilities**:

- Report into Operations Manager.
- Take ownership of training and 1-2-1’s.
- Manage Team Performance.
- Maximise the quality of service provided to customers and clients.
- Liaise with Energy Partners or National Grid.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years in a people management role.
- Positive and driven mindset.
- Commercial awareness.
- Understanding of computer hardware and IT skills with a high level of Excel and MS Office competence.
- Strong communication skills in the English language both written and verbal.
- Excellent timekeeping and team player.
- Ability to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge such as basic technical understanding of the national electricity system and of IT systems.
- The ability to multitask, be methodical and remain calm under pressure.
- Skills considered desired, but not essential:

- Programming or system testing skills.
- Understanding of engineering or a mathematical science.
- Shift working.
- Energy industry knowledge.
