Purchasing Assistant

As a Sales and Purchasing assistant you will perform administrative tasks to support the sales team to help them gain and retain customers. You will respond to customer queries and complaints and ensure that all orders are processed in a timely manner.
You will be an experienced professional with extensive knowledge of all matters concerning customer support to ensure an efficient and productive process that meets customer requirements.
We are looking for a proficient Sales and Purchasing Assistant to provide support, and to contribute towards the efficient running of both Sales and Purchasing department of the business.
**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Processing sales orders
- Processing Job packs for production
- Updating the production schedule relating to the new and existing orders
- Planning and Scheduling
- Organising transport including export deliveries
- Raising sales invoices
- Answering phone calls
- Liaising with customers and suppliers
- Liaising with production/ warehouse for goods in/out
- Issuing out raw materials
- Stock take
- Answering customer inquiries and following up with customers about their order status
- Raising invoices and credit notes
- Managing customer accounts, following up with customers for administrative purposes and providing assistance for orders and other problems.
- Compiling the information required to ensure traceability in the ordering process.
- Acknowledge orders
- Create and process orders in a timely manner, processing requests for rush orders, reviewing pending orders and customer requests to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Create delivery notes
**Previous experience**:
- Sales administration (preferred)
- Purchasing administration 3 years (preferred)
- Sage 50 experience
- Import/export experience
- Planning and Scheduling

**Job Type**: Permanent
