Our client, a leading car motor group are currently looking for a **Purchase Ledger **to join their business based out of their **Blackburn **main dealership.As a **Purchase Ledger** you’ll be responsible for maintaining the Purchase and Sales Ledgers, in line with the company policies and procedures. Although reporting into the Dealership Accountant, you will work alongside the Accounts Assistant supporting the Accounts function across all Audi North dealerships.About the role of **Purchase Ledger**:
- Purchase Ledger duties to include registering, coding & passing purchase invoices, reconciling supplier statements and processing supplier payment runs
- Sales ledger credit control on both the Vehicle & Aftersales ledgers
- Ensuring all receipts are posted & allocated in a timely manner
- Petty Cash reconciliations & postings
- Assisting with bank reconciliations as requested
- Participating in month and year end tasks as required, and ensuring deadlines are met
**Experience Required to be a Purchase Ledger**:
- Previous experience as a Purchase/Sales Ledger from any industry
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practice
- Excellent communication skills
- Desire to learn and for self-development within a fast-moving business
- Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines
- Good attention to detail
