Our client is looking for a Payroll Administrator on a fixed-term contract basis, located in Aberdeen.

**ROLE**

To provide an efficient, accurate and timely payroll service to Group of Companies. To be proactive, a good team player working well on own initiative and to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external payroll customers.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Process and calculate salaries for offshore and onshore payrolls within the company on a monthly basis to a high standard of accuracy whilst meeting company deadlines.
- Proven experience of end-to-end UK payroll processing.
- Understanding and experience of pension admin including regulations surrounding pension auto enrolment.
- Understanding of the payroll impact of GDPR regulations
- Understanding of operation of payroll salary sacrifice
- Deal with appropriate payroll correspondence; ensuring replies are issued promptly and accurately.
- Monitor and response to queries in the team inbox on rotational basis.
- Demonstrate and maintain a good understanding of all areas of payroll and legislation to include calculation of SMP, SSP, pension auto enrolment and all monthly and annual HMRC routines including reconciling of monthly PAYE and NIC to payroll reports.
- Demonstrate technical payroll knowledge to include tax and NI understanding.
- Ability to plan and manage your own time and priorities.
- Timely and professional correspondence with HMRC and statutory bodies to deal with payroll related queries.
- Ability to take ownership for your own workload.
- Be able to demonstrate good time management and organisaitonal skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- A team player keen to being new ideas and embrace new team procedures when relevant but essential also to have the ability to work on own initiative
- Flexible and keen to learn new tasks
- Must have experience of Microsoft excel and be comfortable with spreadsheets and formulas.
- Experience in use of Microsoft teams - training can be provided
- Must be numerate and accurate
