Systems Administrator

Our client, a financial services provider, have a new opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join their IT team, providing effective support and communication and a quality customer experience to users, whilst delivering effective IT assistance acrossall aspects of the business, along with back up & support to the IT and Change teams.
Duties of the Systems Administrator will include:
- Document enquiries and responses in relation to help desk tickets. Identify any patterns and proactively mitigate root causes.
- Work with external suppliers and the IT Department to ensure training requirements are effectively captured and communicated internally
- Monitor systems performance and utilisation and co-ordinate the resolution of any problems.
- Lead helpdesk support efforts relating to systems, ensuring queries resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
- Keep users informed of changes and updates in technology systems and confidently respond to user requests and instructions.
- Assist in all aspects of system development including ad-hoc reporting
- Engage in design, update, implementation or development of systems.
The successful individual will possess:
- Certifications in MCSE AND CCNA or equivalent would be preferable
- Microsoft network administration (Active Directory/Azure)
- Virtualisation platforms (Hyper-V, VMWare or equivalent)
- Backup and Disaster Recovery software (eg Veeam)
- VOIP/Unified Communications (eg 3CX, Teams Direct Routing)
- Network routing and switching would be desirable
- Scripting and automation tools would be desirable
Our client can offer a flexible approach to the working week, however due to the nature of the role, there could be times that full office presence would be needed. During probation and training you will be required to be in the office full time.
