Information Analyst

**TheInformation AnalystRole**:
The main purpose of this role is to contribute to the production for the production of accurate, timely and accessible data reports for College Staff, Students and Governors There is a strong ambition to transform the production and delivery of informationto the end users, using tools such as Power BI. To build strong, internal relationships that embed an information
- led approach to improve the core activities of the college

**Key responsibilities of ourInformation Analyst include**:

- Using SQL/SSRS and other relevant software to develop and produce dynamic reports from a range of MIS data sources ensuring that information produced is accurate, timely and is available on demand
- Supporting the development, monitoring and maintenance of the Colleges reporting services, ensuring that reports are accurate, fit for purpose and delivered on time
- Supporting the production of accurate production of College Management Reports
- Supporting the production and maintenance of the MIS Data Warehouse and reporting infrastructure across all relevant college systems.
- Producing credibility checks to support the validation of the information stored within the learner record system
- Supporting the production and maintenance of the Reporting Team procedures manuals.
- Assisting with the production of external returns as necessary, including contribution to the validation of that information
- Assisting with the administration and maintenance of the College’s information systems
- Developing and maintaining relevant documentation that supports data transparency through a Data documentation approach that will ensure that College’s data will be understood and interpreted by any user. (It will explain how your data was created, whatthe context is for the data, the structure of the data and its contents, and any manipulations that have been done to the data.)

**What we’re looking for in ourInformation Analyst**:

- Experience in manipulating information from large RMDBS. In particular Microsoft TSQL or other similar reporting tools
- Formal qualification(s) in an information discipline, or relevant experience
- Demonstrable record of achievement against objectives and targets
- Demonstrable record of using own initiative and problem solving skills
- Experience in meeting customer needs and working to tight deadlines
- A good attendance record
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office packages and Management Information Systems
- Demonstrable record of willingness to learn
