An opportunity has arisen to recruit an enthusiastic, hard-working, organised Infosec Analyst who will be part of a growing security department within the business.

This is a junior position, suiting an aspiring InfoSec Analyst or someone who has completed a relevant degree looking to develop their security career within an encouraging environment.

This job will be primarily remoted based with optional travel to the Birmingham office to collaborate with the security team.

Key responsibilities:

- Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments
- Research/evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them
- Monitor and review the information security incidents management portal.
- Assist with the review of Information Security Governance documentation and recommend amendments and improvements.
- Assist with the preparation of information security audits; shadow the auditor or assist with conducting audits, as well as document and manage any findings including non-compliance.
- Act as the focal point for security queries. Providing initial response and triage, ensuring functional and hierarchical escalation is undertaken in a timely manner.

- Promote the firm's security policy, educating users to ensure appropriate measures are taken to secure the firm's information and minimising security incidents.

Personal skills:

- Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware, and security
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confident and able to make decisions and will take a pragmatic, proactive approach to work in order to respond to a variety of demands.
- Strong communication skills, articulate and capable of producing high-quality written output, including policies, procedures, and reports.
- Ability to constructively challenge, facilitate and probe to fully understand the business needs.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Teamworking skills in order to collaborate with team members and clients

Awareness of practices and procedures of information security and how this applies to and impacts the business or any entry-level security qualifications (e.g. CCNA security, CompTIA security+) would be advantageous.
