About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Information Security Analyst to join our growing security team. This role is ideal for candidates at any stage of their security career—from recent graduates with foundational knowledge to experienced analysts ready to take on complex challenges. You will be responsible for monitoring, assessing, and improving the organisation's security posture while supporting compliance and incident response activities.

This is a fully remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security tools, logs, and alerts to detect suspicious or malicious activities.
  • Conduct security incident investigations and support incident response efforts.
  • Assist in vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities.
  • Maintain and improve security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support risk assessments and security compliance initiatives (e.g., ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials).
  • Collaborate with IT, engineering, and business teams to ensure secure systems and processes.
  • Track emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in security awareness training initiatives across the organisation.
  • Document findings, reports, and recommendations for internal stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of information security principles, threat landscapes, and risk management.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, endpoint protection, and security monitoring platforms (or strong willingness to learn for junior candidates).
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and assessment techniques.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
  • Ability to analyze logs, correlate events, and identify indicators of compromise.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2, PCI-DSS.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, GSEC, CISSP (or interest in pursuing them).
  • Experience with penetration testing tools or methods.
  • Background in IT support, systems administration, cyber operations, or similar fields.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK—no sponsorship available.
