**Senior Manager - Investigation and Disruption**

About the Criminal Enforcement Unit

The Criminal Enforcement Unit (CEU) is a dedicated law enforcement function within the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). The CEU leads, supports, and coordinates interventions to tackle the most serious criminal threats to the publicfrom the illegal sale and supply of medicines and medical devices. This is collectively referred to as 'medicrime’.

The strategic aim of the CEU is to prevent medicrime offences where we can, disrupt them where we cannot, and bring offenders to justice where we should. We work with partners across sectors, across government and across international borders to remove themeans, motivation, and opportunity for criminals to offend.

About the role

We are currently looking to fill one of two Senior Manager Investigation and Disruption posts within the CEU, to strengthen our efforts to protect the public from medicrime. You will lead and line manage a team of around seven Senior Criminal EnforcementOfficers, delivering criminal justice interventions in relation to serious and complex crime. You will also be a valued member of the CEU’s extended Senior Management Team.

Who we’re looking for

You may be joining us from the police service or from another government department or law enforcement agency. You may have professional accreditations, or you may not. Some come to us with relevant experience obtained in roles in the private sector. Wethink these diverse backgrounds bring very welcome diversity of thinking and ideas to the CEU.

Although law enforcement experience is a definite advantage, whatever you’ve done before, it’s what you do next that matters most to us. If you are dynamic, enthusiastic, have strong leadership skills, a strategic innovative mind, and a willingness to learn,that works for us.
