Lead Care Manager (Temporary) – Sunrise Senior Living Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Lead Care Manager to provide exceptional care and support to residents across our assisted living, long‑term care, and reminiscence neighborhoods. The Lead Care Manager will lead a team of care providers, ensuring the highest quality of life for seniors while upholding Sunrise’s Mission and regulatory requirements. Job Overview The Lead Care Manager/Designated Care Manager is responsible for hands‑on care and emotional support for a consistent group of residents. You will review and update Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), supervise staff, maintain safety and cleanliness, and enhance residents’ well‑being through daily activities and enrichment programs. Responsibilities Maintain Daily Logs, observe and document resident status, and update ISPs. Supervise 2‑3 residents per shift, check in during the shift, and respond to call bells and security system alerts. Lead activities of daily living (ADLs) and “Invite, Encourage, and Assist” (IEA) residents in activities. Engage residents in life skills, reminiscence, and enrichment activities. Assist with continence management and maintain sanitation of resident suites and community restrooms. Communicate with families, provide updates, and act as a resource. Perform housekeeping duties for assigned rooms and common areas. Serve meals, prepare dining areas, and practice safe food handling. Support the Reminiscence Neighborhood by integrating multi‑sensory experiences and supporting social attendance. Participate in cross‑team training, meetings, and engagement surveys. Adhere to all infection control, PPE, and safety protocols; report incidents and hazards immediately. Maintain a warm, respectful, and safety‑first environment for residents and staff. Implement and document any changes in resident care needs and collaborate with the Director of Resident Care. Experience & Qualifications High School diploma or GED (required per local regulations). CPR and First Aid certification, as required by state/regional regulations. Minimum age 18 years. Prior experience working with seniors is preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and time‑management skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple priorities. Commitment to resident‑centered care and adherence to Sunrise principles. Vehicle drivers must sign a Driver Job Description and comply with safety standards.
