**SALARY**:£28,934 - £32,026 per annum

**JOB TYPE**:Full-Time, Permanent

**WORKING HOURS**: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Assistant School Business Managerwith experience in Finance or Facilities Management, excellent time management, communication and organisation skills and good attention to detail and accuracy.

As the Assistant School Business Manager you will initially work on providing a wide range of facilities management duties working with the dedicated site team.

Working as the Assistant School Business Manager your role will progress into the opportunity to work with other support managers in developing the role into a position where you will be able to deputise for the Director of Business and Finance in differentareas of the role in order to gain the experience required to be a successful School Business Manager.

**DUTIES**

Your duties as Assistant School Business Manager will include:

- Health and Safety - Coordinating the day to day management of compliance with the Health & Safety, Fire Emergency Evacuation, Disability Discrimination, COSHH, Electricity, Asbestos and Legionella Acts and procedures
- Premises - Develop and manage a rolling programme of planned and preventative maintenance
- Security - Oversee the management of premises security
- Management of Staff - Manage, train and deploy staff resources
- Site Development - Support in organising specifications for larger works, obtain estimates, raise order, check works
- Holiday Activity and Food / Summer School Events - Manage the set up and running of activities encouraging use of the school site within the local community. Administration of physical arrangements for on-site activities beyond the school day
- Contracts - Monitor overall performance, ensuring that a high quality of service is delivered, raising issues with contractors and overseeing specialist work. Arrange and take part in monthly contract review meetings

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- Willingness to undertake further qualification at Level 4 or 5 in School Business Management or equivalent
- Ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent time management, communication, organisation and listening skills
- Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to Health and Safety
- Good IT skills
- Skilled at paying attention to accuracy and detail, happy to develop relevant leadership and management techniques relevant to the post
- Stamina and resilience and ability to work under pressure
- Committed to personal development
- Strong commitment to team working and partnership
- Ability to work in a Catholic School, sensitive to the ethos of the School
