My client has seen an exceptional increase in demand, and they are currently building the foundations in preparation of the next growth phase. To support this vision, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join them, playing a key part in thedelivery of the sales plan.
**Who are they?**
This business design, manufacture and supply both components and custom solutions of miniature fluid control for the Medical and Life Science markets. Focusing extensively on the following: Fittings, Filters, Check Valves, Couplings, Flow Control and Assemblies.
Their mission is to provide innovation and be part of the advancement of scientific knowledge and development through working closely with the leading Medical and Life Science companies in the world.

**What will you be doing?**
Reporting to and taking strategic direction from the Sales Manager, you will be concentrating on key strategic accounts and developing new opportunities in the West of England and Wales.
- Uncover new customers and opportunities within the territory
- Creating a business strategy to increasing growth for your territory and presenting that to the sales manager.
- Understanding customer needs and requirements whilst introducing and presenting the best solutions we offer.
- Skilfully executing each phase of the sales process from pipeline entry to closing the deal. Deliver sales activity to meet and exceed sales and margin targets.
- Building strong and long term relationships with clients - to be considered a trusted partner.
- Margin integrity; ensuring consistency and identifying opportunities for margin growth,
- Analysing customer risk and improve customer retention,
- Providing forecasting in support of the sales plan,
**What do you need?**
The successful Business Development Manager must have a proven track record of delivering to sales targets over successive periods. We are looking for a motivated and driven BDM with the ability to develop new customer and find untapped opportunities to growtheir territory. Key skills include:
- Proven sales experience in a professional environment,
- Solid business acumen and commercial knowledge,
- Knowledge of customer risk and how to mitigate,
- Effective presentation and interpersonal skills, to run successful meetings,
- Strong planning and organizational skills,
- Exceptional communicator with a customer focused attitude,
- Positive attitude towards change and improvements;
- knowledge of the medical industry preferred, but not essential.
- A full and clean driving license preferred.
