**Programme Office Support - Inside IR35**
**Contract Term: 6 Months (possible extension)**

**Location: Hybrid working (2 days per week in Leeds, London or Manchester office and 3 days per week WFH)**
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all citizens whatever their background. Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government’s ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.
**Role purpose**:
As a Programme Office Support, you will support the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager with the day to day delivery activities. The role will provide insight into the effective use of programme/project methodologies and techniques.
**The main duties and responsibilities of the Programme Office Support would be to**:
- Support the team with day to day management of the project. Provide effective support to the assurance and governance of the project. Monitor project progress against agreed tolerances and ensure appropriate escalation via reports and governance routes.
- Support the development of Business Cases where necessary.
- Monitor project resources and work with the PM to identify skill requirements; and deploy and develop resources.
- Identify and manage stakeholder relationships and need for senior level support. Manage internal and external relationships as appropriate.
- Identify and monitor project risks and issues. Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate. Identify and work with related projects to manage interdependencies.
- Support effective governance and decision making. Provide reporting and engage with the sub portfolio PMO where needed.
- Engage with assurance reviews and support action on recommendations. Organise assurance processes such as gateway reviews, as required.
- Ensure effective Change Management processes are in place to agree and document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders.
**You’ll have/be**:
- Previous experience of working in a programme environment.
- Highly organised, self-motivated and possess excellent planning skill.
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability, knowledge, flexibility and confidence to work on any project you are assigned to.
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines, using your initiative, working collaboratively and managing your own workload.
- A good communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to develop and maintain strong customer relations and adapt your behaviour to different situations and people.
- Experience of using Microsoft office tools, including Microsoft Teams, Project, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint is highly desirable
- Previous construction/infrastructure experience (highly desirable)
- Prince2 and other equivalent project management qualification (desirable)
