Do you have experience & knowledge of NHS Payroll and the desire to share this knowledge to help new staff develop? Have you had experience of either training, mentoring or coaching colleagues or staff and have the ability use your knowledge to deliver NHSPayroll training via webinar, face to face and over MS Teams?

Due to excessive growth within the payroll team, our responsibility of training and development of staff has increased to ensure that the whole team have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles optimally

Working with the Employment Services Training & Technical Manager and other Training Officer and wider ES management team to create and deliver training for new starters and all staff across all Employment services offices to ensure staff understanding andcompliance of processes, procedures, legislation and NHS terms and conditions. To ensure all Employment service Payroll staff have the skills and knowledge to deliver an accurate payroll service to our NHS clients.

The role will be Hybrid, the Trainer will be required to work several days in the Southampton office and will also have the option for some home working days. May include rare occasional travel to other UK offices.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Delivery of the full New Starter training programme for Payroll plus selected NS Training for Pensions, HR Hub and Overpayments (OP) teams as required.
- Work with other Training officers to plan, develop and provide training and staff development programs using a variety of methods such as classroom training, Microsoft Teams, Webinars, demonstrations, 'on the job’ training and coaching, meetings and workshops.
- Ad hoc on the job coaching or training to fulfil any development needs outlined by the employees’ direct line manager.
- Ensure all training notes and presentations are always up to date and reviewed throughout the year to mirror legislation and NHS T&C changes.
- Continuously review and suggest ideas and changes to existing training process/presentations to improve the service offering.
- Work with other Training Officers to create quarterly assessments for Payroll, OP, HR Hub, ESD and Pensions teams; and ES new starters assessments for Payroll, HR Hub and ESD. Collate results of the assessments and deliver refresher training as required.

**What you'll bring**:

- Good standard of education in English and Mathematics to GSCE level A - C
- Previous training, mentoring or coaching experience (this does not have to have been in a dedicated training role as Train the Trainer training will be provided)
- Previous NHS Payroll experience.
- Experience of using the NHS ESR (Electronic staff record system) for payroll input.
- Excellent Payroll and legislation Knowledge
- Show initiative and awareness
- Solid understanding of MS Excel, Word & Outlook
- Presentation Skills

**It would be great if you had**:

- Customer service or Training qualification
- Experience of using MS dynamics CRM system

Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract for 9 months
Location: Southampton

**Salary**: £23,000- £26,000
Benefits: 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, 4 x death in service benefit, pension, and generous flexible benefits fund 3% (can be taken as a cash option), annual bonus of up to £500
