We are supporting a Social Care client who are looking for an experienced HR Manager to join their HR Team to cover a maternity.

As a successful HR Manager / experienced HR Advisor you will lead on the day to day management and development of the workforce providing expert advice, insight and practical support to enable the organisation to attract the right people that will add valueto the business now and in the future.

**Responsibilities as a HR Manager**:

- To provide consistent leadership to the organisation at all levels, ensuring all staff and volunteers are motivated, empowered, valued and performing to their full potential
- To provide professional guidance to other with the workforce team
- Ensure that company workforce systems and processes are maintained in a way which is robust, compliant and supports current activities and future growth
- Maintain thorough working knowledge of regulatory, legislative and policy change in relation to workforce management and development and translate the practical implications of this for the organisation
- Contribute to the development, implementation and review of operational policy which has workforce implications
- Act as a role model for the organisation leading by example in demonstrating the underpinning values in action
- Maintain effective relationships with trade unions and other staff representatives
- Work in partnership with operational managers on change projects including restructures and service developments in order to support implementation in a way which is compliant with regulations and fits the values of the company
- Co-ordinate workforce planning and development approaches designed to ensure that there are appropriate skills and career pathways within the organisation
- Initiate and develop workforce strategies
- Play a key role in establishing an organisation which is focussed on business growth as well as achieving efficiency
- Co-ordinate and facilitate meaningful employee engagement including taking a lead role in respect of supporting employee forums as well as specific initiatives designed to involve, communicate and engage with staff
- Provide advice, support and practical expertise on all employee relations matters including sickness management, conduct, capability and grievance
- To co-ordinate and undertake all transactional processes in respect of the employee lifecycle from recruitment to exit
- Be effective in accountable decision making
- Ensure that the work of the workforce team is planned, executed, controlled and monitored to meet its strategic objectives, business plans and statutory and regulatory requirements
- Provide support and advice which is professional, of an excellent standard and is appropriately tailored to the business

**Essential requirements**:

- Professional qualification in Human Resource Management/Development at degree level or equivalent
- Previously worked as either an experienced HR Advisor or HR Manager
- Able to work as part of a team but to take a lead where required
- People Managemet skills ideally
