Change Grow Live are a charity dedicated to the belief that we can make a difference to our Service Users lives, we have an exciting 12 months FTC role for someone who is passionate about eliminating Hepatitis C as a major public health threat?
Do you have experience working with people affected by Hepatitis C and a good understanding of how the virus is treated?
We are looking for a dynamic individual who will be dedicated to Hepatitis C work in our Brighton & Hove Richmond House Service.
**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:
- To actively seek out service users at risk of contracting BBV’s and offer harm reduction advice alongside screening.
- Workforce development (to increase testing across the service by cultivating understanding and confidence in all volunteers, peer mentors and staff).
- To actively encourage and support those with Hepatitis C to attend their hepatology appointments.
- To support the Hepatology team and ensure the recording of treatment interventions is accurate.
- Collation of data to support on-going surveillance of at-risk population.
- Contributing to the development of innovative models of hepatitis C treatment that reflects local nuances and diversity.
- Ensure harm reduction remains the focus of all models of care.
- Liaise with service user groups to drive prevention and promote Hepatitis treatment.
- Support peer and service user involvement to deliver health education and health protection relating to hepatitis C.
- To assist in case finding for people currently in service who have a positive Hep C diagnoses or people who require re - testing due to continued high risk practice.
- Flexible working conditions will be available but due to the nature of the role you will often be required to work from the CGL locations in the borough.
- Due to the work around Hep C ever changing, you will need an amount of flexibility to adapt to on-going development and lead the local teams.
