**DESIGN CO ORDINATOR - GAS INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE - £43.50 PER HOUR**

**Long O Donnell Associates **is continually recognised as aworld class consultant providing engineering, project and programme management and commercial solutions, to our clients within the energy, infrastructure, and Governmental sectors.

We are looking for an experienced Design Co Ordinator who has experience in the Gas industry to join the commercial team.

**RESPONSIBILITIES FOR A DESIGN CO ORDINATOR**:

- Report directly to the Lead Project Manager on all design matters.
- Report to the Senior Project Manager on contract design compliance and administration matters.
- Initiate and manage G/17 designs on the MOC and a thorough understanding of G/17, G/19 processes.
- Work in a pro-active and flexible manner including managing more than one Project at any one time.
- Day to day management of the Main Works Contractor and/ or Design Consultant
- Support permanent material procurement for the Project including ensuring all specifications and requirements are complied with.
- Liaison with customers design systems and processes on behalf of Cadent
- Understands and has experience of Permit Systems (PTW/FOA/NRO).
- Aware of and understands the Employer’s Specifications.

**REQUIREMENTS FOR A DESIGN CO ORDINATOR**:

- 5+ years’ experience in the same or similar role.
- Understand technical documentation (drawings, MTO’s, materials data sheets).
- Have experience in the reviewing of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Have an awareness of and understand the implications of CDM regulations.
- Have an awareness of Accident, Incident and Near Miss Reporting.
- Have an awareness of the risk management process.
