Head of Portfolio Management

**£47,000 pa + Company Car + Benefits**

Here within our Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC) we focus on assisting individuals through the asylum system, ensuring that vulnerable asylum seekers have access to the support they need along with a high standard of accommodation.

The key purpose of this critical Head of Portfolio role is contingency portfolio management including but not limited to sourcing, rate reviews, contract exits, occupancy; ensuring the site is compliant regards certification and licencing within the legislative and local authority framework.

You will join our Property Team, holding responsibility for the North-West (NW) and Midlands and East of England (MEE) regions, as a key member of the Contingency Senior Management Team. You will be accountable for the day-to-day management of the hotel, contingency portfolio and sub-contractors.

First and foremost, you must have public sector experience in housing standards; enforcement and environmental service provision including strong knowledge of maintenance processes. You will be an experienced leader with change management experience and evident capabilities in managing duty of care services for vulnerable people.

Lastly, your flexibility to drive the success of our AASC will mean you bring flexibility to travel within the regions and occasionally within the UK (a valid UK driver’s licence is essential and complete Regular visits to properties and landlords, agents and investors

This role requires Security Clearance at CTC level (Counter Terrorism Check) and also CRB clearance.

**What you’ll need to do the job**

This is an opportunity for an individual with an ILM Level 5 or equivalent managerial experience/qualifications and a minimum 5 years in a people management role.

It is essential you have very strong operational excellence and continuous improvement capability.

You must have excellent people management skills with evidence of engaging staff and improving/driving team performance, alongside strong financial management skills with experience of managing budgets of at least £1m.

Finally, you must have a valid UK drivers licence and flexibility is a must - you will be expected to travel within the regions and occasionally within the UK
