**About the role**:
The University of Lancashire and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (AUC) have partnered to address the global doctor shortage through delivery of a new accredited medical qualification, the Doctor of Medicine (MD) programme. Building on a collaboration that began in 2017, the two institutions now offer a pathway starting with a two-year Postgraduate Diploma in International Medical Sciences (PGDip IMS) studied in the UK at the University; followed by a further two years study to complete the U.S. accredited MD degree with AUC while in clinical sites in the US or UK.

The purpose of the role of Principal Lecturer in Medical Sciences is to support the Deputy Associate Dean and the AUC Campus Dean by providing academic leadership, enhancing the achievement of excellent quality and performance standards, and contributing to the development and implementation of policies and practices to ensure effective deployment of resources for the PG Dip International Medical Sciences.
