An exciting opportunity has arisen within the School of Sport and Health Sciences for a full-time 1 year fixed-term Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Psychology primarily to support teaching, learning and assessment on BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science. Specifically, the successful applicant will contribute to the leadership and delivery of undergraduate modules with the area of sport and exercise psychology.

The School is home to a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and CPD opportunities both taught on-campus and by distance learning and we are proud of our commitment to delivering courses and CPD opportunities with a strong research-, industry-, and practitioner-inspired teaching philosophy.

A first degree in Sport and Exercise Science, Psychology or a related discipline is essential with expertise in sport and exercise psychology. A PhD or a MSc qualification and evidence of being capable of doctoral level study is also essential. A teaching qualification or the capability and willingness to achieve this qualification within a defined timescale Registration as a Sport and Exercise Psychologist are desirable.

Utilising excellent presentation and communication skills, the post holder will demonstrate a flexible and innovative approach to teaching and learning and have the ability to teach and supervise dissertations up to Masters level. An ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team is also essential for success in this role.
