**So, what’s the job ‘in one’?**

Our aim in Customer Service at Boutinot is simple, to build fantastic and enduring relationships. We do this through making a point of understanding our customers and their businesses in order that the right wine gets to the right place at the right time, every time. We are a wine company, the logistics of wine are complex, our job is to make it look simple. With such a diverse collection of customers, from small independent merchants to fine dining restaurants, it is a challenge to continually exceed our customers’ expectations. but that is what we do.

**What will this involve?**
- Working as a team you will process customer orders accurately and efficiently to ensure that our vehicles are able to load and deliver on time
- Working closely with our bonded warehouse, our network of transporters and suppliers in order to ensure they understand what they need to do to guarantee we deliver our promises.
- You will provide a comprehensive range of administrative tasks including organising samples, arranging returns, raising credits, all of which are to be carried out to completion within the timescales committed to.

**What kind of skills are we looking for?**
- You will ideally have a minimum of one years’ experience working in a busy customer service environment and will be driven to exceed your customers’ expectations on a daily basis
- The phone is a mega important piece of kit for us, you need to be confident on the phone and have an amazing telephone manner.
- If the phone is ringing we pick up quickly, simple as. You will need to convince us that you have a ‘fastest finger’ approach too.
- You will have strong admin skills, which even when the pressure is on, you will perform consistently well.
- Communication skills including the ability to write and speak articulately due to an excellent command of the English language
- You will thrive as part of a team but also be able to work on your own initiative
- You will be a problem solver, able to take solutions to completion.
- You enjoy a fast-paced environment where you can demonstrate your ability to multi-task and prioritise your workload because you have a complete understanding of what brilliance looks like.
- You will be computer literate with good Microsoft Office skills
- You will demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills

**So what kind of person are we looking for?**

Ask yourself these questions first before reading further:

- Do I like restaurants where you share tables with a stranger?
- If I see an overflowing bin, do I leave it for the cleaner to sort or do I empty it?
- Do I often forget peoples’ birthdays?

The most amazing thing about this role is the variety. You’ll get to be a chameleon. And you’ll get to build relationships with hundreds of people from all walks of life. It’s important that you view this as an opportunity and that it excites you. A ‘not my job’ attitude absolutely won’t fly. If it’s a slog for you we’ll be frustrated and you won’t be happy, and that’s a lose-lose. With so many plates spinning you’ll have to have incredibly strong organisational skills and be disciplined in your approach to work so that none of the plates get smashed. So, even if you do forget the occasional birthday, it’s what you do about it that matters. Get a diary and write them down, add reminders, get on top of it.
