**GENERAL SUMMARY**

A key member of the leadership team, the Head of Supply Chain will be responsible and accountable for the deployment of strategy that adds critical competitive commercial advantage to Celeros ClydeUnion Pumps.

The primary responsibility is for the management and supervision of all aspects of materials flow. This includes maintaining control and accuracy over all goods inventories, including all transactions, procurement (including receiving), and cost to ensure that materials are provided to Operations to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time. This position is also responsible for supplier quality, developing supplier relationships, supplier reduction/evaluation/certification, inventory control, and compliance with customer specifications.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)**
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the Plant
- Responsible for coordinating all aspects of material flow and part delivery within the organization.
- Create, maintain and execute material logistic strategies to manage inventory and control excess and obsolete materials.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Inventory and Purchasing modules of the organization’s business system.
- Foster, develop and maintain strong, positive working relationships with suppliers, customers, the leadership team, and employees.
- Responsible for contract management in relation to all materials
- Develop, maintain, and coordinate a system for regularly scheduling supply chain contract reviews
- Review routinely purchasing practices to assure that staff are procuring and utilising appropriate contracts and tiers
- Ensure optimal focus to maximise price savings, rebates, group redistribution and commitments
- Oversee the procurement function utilizing acceptable purchasing practices
- Work with the employees and managers to procure the appropriate supplies and equipment within agreed upon time frames
- Ensure that employee safety is a primary concern in the selection of supplies and equipment
- Develop most suitable purchasing arrangement for commodities, including blanket contracts, standing orders and vendor stocking arrangements
- Lead the standardization of supplies and equipment within the organization
- Lead the resolution of equipment and supply quality and service problems with vendors
- Give consideration to environmental concerns in the selection of supplies and equipment
- Maintain a professional environment in interactions with vendors
- Responsible for selection of suppliers giving consideration to quality of service and cost to the Plant
- Coordinate the reconciliation process for invoices with the Accounts Payable department when price and quantities do not agree with the purchase order
- Assist in the preparation of the annual departmental operating and capital budgets; operates each function within the approved budget
- Coach, lead, and develop team leads and members to ensure organizational goals and objectives are met.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, business, management or other related discipline.
