Leeds, United Kingdom Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Full time

We are offering a great opportunity for an experienced Secretary to join the Connect Adult Eating Disorder Service.

The service currently provides an Adult Eating Disorders Community Service to the population of West Yorkshire and an Inpatient Service at a National level.

We are looking to recruit a talented, hardworking full time secretary into our friendly award winning team. We provide essential support to the service; facilitating referrals, appointments, discharges and all other general administrative duties.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to take instruction from several sources. They must be able to prioritise their own workload, use their own initiative, problem solve and be able to work under pressure, within strict time frames, as required.

We have a base which is situated at the Newsam Centre and a second base in Halifax which may need to be covered by admin staff from time to time for annual leave or staff sickness.

We are currently working on a hybrid work pattern at the moment so working from the office is currently 2-3 times per week but with the understanding that this may be more if we are required on site to support the clinical team/service users

The post holder will engage in frequent telephone contact with other departments within LYPFT. They will also regularly liaise with our partner care providers, service users, carers, GP’s and other health care professionals via the telephone and on video calls; ensuring that a professional, efficient service is maintained at all times.

The post holder will support the CONNECT community and inpatient teams, by keeping spreadsheets up to date, organising appointments and reviews, minute/note taking in weekly meetings, sorting post, answering telephone queries and updating our electronic systems with client information.

The post holder will have excellent word processing and data recording skills and the ability to audio and copy type is desirable. There is a requirement that the post holder will utilise the Trust’s electronic typing system to provide secretarial support to the wider administration teams when required full training will be provided.

The post holder will have a willingness to develop their own knowledge and skills and be open to change. There will be opportunities for their development personally and within the team.

An element of flexibility is required, with regards to work base, provision of cover for colleagues in different areas may be required from time to time.
