Our client, a company within a group with extensive fintech and service sector experience in the UK market, is seeking a **Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)**. This is a part-time role with mínimal activity initially, transitioning to greater involvement and increased remuneration once FCA registration is complete.

The company specializes in **short-term B2B lending** within a specific real estate-related industry. Operating from the UK, the business is currently navigating FCA registration for AML supervision.
This role is a unique opportunity to join a growing company at an early stage, with the chance to help shape its compliance framework and ensure adherence to UK AML regulations.
***Key Responsibilities**:
As the MLRO, you will:
- ** Provide oversight of the company’s operations and loan portfolio to ensure compliance with UK AML regulations.**:
- Develop and maintain AML/CTF policies and procedures in line with FCA requirements.
- **Act as the main point of contact for the FCA,** participating in discussions and demonstrating robust knowledge of AML regulations.
- Monitor and report any suspicious activities in line with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct periodic AML/CTF risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Ensure the company complies with its reporting obligations under UK AML legislation.
- Work closely with the leadership team to support the business during the FCA registration process and beyond.
- **Must be a UK resident with NIN and a UK address.**:
- **Minimum 2-3 years experience** in a senior AML role (e.g., MLRO, Head of Compliance) within UK-based financial services, preferably in **EMI, payment institutions, or lending services**.
- Strong expertise in UK AML/CTF regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Fluency in **English** with excellent communication skills, as you will participate in discussions with the FCA.
- Proven ability to monitor operations and portfolios effectively in line with regulatory standards.
