Marketing & Events Assistant

**About the Role****:
Over the last few years, our events have become renowned across financial services, attracting thousands of delegates each year. This year, we’ve responded to demand and expanded on the number of events we host (both online and in-person) which means we’re on the lookout for a new Marketing & Events Assistant who is super organised, and willing to put their mighty all into both supporting and delivering top quality professional events for our delegates.

This is a new role and will be an integral part of our marketing team. Although the main focus of the role will be to work alongside our Events Specialist to deliver high-standard events to our delegates, it will also involve administrative support for the wider marketing team too.
- assist the team with all event related administration, ensuring delegates have a positive event experience.
- support the wider marketing team with a range of marketing activity to increase event registrations / bookings.
- assist with the production of event materials and literature.
- coordinate the production of a wide range of events both online and face to face.
- prepare written copy (such as event descriptions) for websites
- be responsible for keeping our website and online directory of industry-wide events up to date.
- liaise with a range of third-parties - whether that be sourcing / securing venues and other suppliers, other event managers to arrange the logistics of any external exhibitions or coordinating all key information needed with event speakers.
- send out joining instructions and post event communications to delegates.
- be on hand to answer questions from delegates regarding the events.
- support the wider marketing team with a range of marketing admin - whether that data cleansing, system uploads, diary management etc.

***About You****:
The relevant skills and experience needed to successfully deliver on all the above is crucial, of course we know that, but there's also some extra bits that need considering too, such as:

- Being super organised and the ability to multi-task We run a large number of events throughout the year, so organisation is key to ensure all events run simultaneously
- Super professional and excellent written English - the role will include a fair amount of copywriting of event descriptions as well as direct communication with delegates and speakers.
- A stickler for sticking to deadlines
- You must be completely computer literate and confident using new technology systems. We can teach you how to use our systems, but technophobes need not apply For example setting up online event equipment such as computer, microphones, speakers etc should be familiar to you.
- Having the ability to work autonomously, self-motivated and with bags of creative energy.
- Being flexible and agile in your approach to work - we're fast paced. Like, really fast and are not afraid to try new things. So, if you're used to a steady pace of life with no detours, then we're not the company for you (don't worry, we don't take it personally).

Similar administrative experience is a must - specific marketing and event experience is a bonus We can teach you all about us and financial services as long as you’re willing to learn, but we need someone who’s no stranger to a timeline and loves an operational schedule to ensure they hit the ground running.
