To provide a professional and courteous “front of house” service for all staff and visitors utilising the facilities provided by the ward 14 at Royal Preston Hospital, acting in a professional and courteous manner at all times. Respond to requests for information promptly and efficiently using a variety of communication methods, ensuring that Trust Customer Service standards are adhered to.
Maintaining accurate and confidential records, having regard for the Data Protection Act. In case of major accident, the post holder would be expected to attend outside normal working hours.
The duties and responsibilities listed below should be undertaken in accordance with the level of competence as defined in the KSF outline for the post.

Answer telephone queries, take messages, direct where appropriate, meet and greet and provide assistance directing visitors to appropriate locations.
Use initiative to resolve conflicts in mutually agreeable way, alerting manager where necessary.
Ensure that up to date information is available regarding activity within all departments so that queries can be answered promptly and accurately.
