Data Strategy Lead

**Description**:
We are seeking a Data Strategy Lead to drive the data strategy of a revised Data & Analytics function within the AXA Retail Insurance business. This role will drive collaboration between Data & Analytics and the function across Retail that we support, and be part of a huge transformation project within AXA Retail. The Data & Analytics function is now organised around three centres of excellence; Data Insights, Data Engineering and Data Science which will be supported by a new Data Strategy & Culture team. The Data Strategy Lead reports into the Head of Strategy & Culture, assisting them in setting and embedding AXA Retail’s Data Strategy. This is to be achieved through adhering to the clear strategic vision set by the Head of Strategy & Culture, helping to engage with the business to define a set of key deliverables in support of the strategic ambitions.
As the Data Strategy Lead, they work closely with product owners and individual business functions to embed the data strategy. They also use the end-to-end opportunity assessment to define and identify strategic value opportunities and use cases in order to create a managed prioritisation backlog for the organisation. **What you’ll be doing**:
- Assisting the Head of Strategy & Culture with the embedding of AXA Retail’s Data Strategy across the organisation through the establishment of long-term ambitions of the Data & Analytics Hub, in terms of fulfilling business needs and strategic objectives.
- Managing key relationships with business function stakeholders and leaders across AXA Retail, working collaboratively in order to effectively implement the Data Strategy.
- Identifying and obtains sponsors for strategic activities by engaging with senior leaders to deliver tangible value through the use of data and analytics.
**Qualifications**:
- Demonstrated managerial experience in running cohesive data strategy teams, working closely with Product Owners.
- Strong experience in embedding ambitious data and innovation strategies across large financial institutions
- Proven experience in managing the end-to-end opportunity assessment for use case identification
- Experience in backlog management and prioritisation
- Experience in garnering business sponsorship for strategic data and analytics activities
