**Description**:
We are seeking a Head of Data Strategy & Culture to help embed and drive a data driven culture as part of a revised Data & Analytics function, within the AXA’s Retail Insurance business. This role will drive collaboration between Data & Analytics and the functions across Retail which we support, and be part of a huge transformation project within AXA Retail. The Data & Analytics function is now organised around three centres of excellence: Data Insights, Data Engineering and Data Science, supported by two new teams - Data Strategy & Culture and Data Governance & Management. These two new teams will help make us a more data driven organisation - Data Strategy & Culture will guide the strategic roadmap for data projects and initiatives. This re-organises the department into capability-based teams and enables greater agility and flexibility. With the increased competition and changing customer demands means that data and analytics have never been more important. We must have a 360-degree view of customer activity and deliver hyper-personalised customer experiences and propositions, powered by advanced analytics modelling. And this shift to a ‘Hub and Spoke’ model means we can provide highly skilled support to the wider organisation. The Head of Strategy and Culture is responsible for setting and embedding AXA Retail’s data strategy. This will be achieved through setting a clear strategic vision and engaging the business to define a set of key deliverables in support of the strategic ambitions. They manage the end to end opportunity assessment process to define strategic value opportunities, use cases and the prioritised backlog for the organisation. Their role also covers Data Culture, with a focus on helping the organisation develop skills, capabilities and behaviours that in turn support the delivery of the strategy and the embedding of a data driven culture. As part of the role, they are responsible for managing Retail’s data maturity uplift plan, based on the regular data maturity assessment carried out by the UK Chief Data Office. They will lead and develop a team of a Strategy Lead, Culture Lead and four product owners. You’ll work in an open and supportive environment where you'll be developed, challenged and encouraged to move around to achieve even bigger and better things. At AXA we’re adopting a Hybrid way of working, empowering our people to balance their time between home and office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. For the new Head of Data Strategy & Culture this is a chance to mould something of your own, to form your own team and to create a bespoke service that can support and collaborate with the wider business functions.
**Qualifications**:
- Strong experience in defining and delivering ambitious data and innovation strategies across large financial institutions - Working collaboratively with Chief Data Officers to define target state capabilities and associated delivery plans - Defining and delivering innovation data-driven solutions to solve business problems - Demonstrated experience in uplifting data maturity at an enterprise level - Awareness of emerging trends and regulations with an impact on data and analytics
