Data Quality

**Description**:
We are seeking a Data Quality & Management Lead to help embed and drive a data driven culture as part of a revised Data & Analytics function, within the AXA’s Retail Insurance business. This role will uplift our data maturity within Data & Analytics and the functions across Retail which we support and will be part of a huge transformation project within AXA Retail. As part of the Data Governance & Management team you’ll help make us a more data driven organisation by embedding core data management policies that enable the delivery of data initiatives at pace & of high data quality. This re-organises the department into capability-based teams and enables greater agility and flexibility. With the increased competition and changing customer demands means that data and analytics have never been more important. We must have a 360-degree view of customer activity and deliver hyper-personalised customer experiences and propositions, powered by advanced analytics modelling. And a shift to a ‘Hub and Spoke’ model means we can provide highly skilled support to the wider organisation. At AXA we’re adopting a hybrid way of working, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. **What You’ll Be Doing** Our Data Quality and Management lead is responsible for implementing a data management operating model, inclusive of data quality practices and tooling for AXA Retail.
- Collaborate with a range of enterprise partners (CIO, Risk, Chief Data Office) to implement Retail-specific data quality and management frameworks and tooling.
- You’ll establish a community of data professionals across the organisation to build a deeper understanding of the importance of adequate data quality and management, and support functions to implement core requirements.
- Via the Data Management Forum, you’ll provide executives with insight on progress against key data quality and management metrics
- Implementing a data management operating model to ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined across the organisation
- Supporting the organisation in embedding the data management operating model
- Defining a data quality framework, with associated tooling patterns defined for business functions to implement
- Implementing a suite of core data quality metrics, and contributes to the AXA Retail Data Management Forum
- Supporting business functions in assessing underlying data quality and defining remediation plans
- Collaborating with CIO to improve ingestion and underlying data quality of core data assets
- Some of the key user cases include:
- Ensuring appropriate use and protection of data, in a rick based approach: Lengthy manual processes and governance that slows the pace of execution leads to slower time to value for colleagues and customers - this role will enable a faster, compliant way of infusing data and analytics into business process.
- Managing data as an asset: AXA stakeholders engage with multiple versions of the truth, which leads to data distrust amongst teams and decisions that are challenged - this role will support customer and colleague centric data initiatives that deliver centralised and trusted actionable intelligence.
- Governing the data strategy and data-driven transformation - holistically: Overlapping roles and responsibilities and evolving data domain governance and data cataloguing leads to replication of work and unclear resolution paths for issues, given multiple owners - this role will enable an integrated and governed information set with clear accountability and ownership.
**Qualifications**:
- Demonstrated managerial experience, running cohesive and successful data quality teams
- Strong stakeholder management, motivating wider organisation colleagues to support data management practices
- Implementing new data quality and management practices and tooling into developing data organisations
- Establishing data quality metrics and reporting frameworks
- Data management accreditations (i.e. CDMP, DCAM, DAMA)
**What we offer**:
One of the best things about joining AXA is our rewards package. At AXA UK, we’re appreciative of the people who work for us and our rewards package is reviewed regularly to reflect that. You can expect to receive:
