Head of Project Management

Morson are proud to be partnering with a Global Technology business who are looking to appoint a Head of Project Management (Professional Services). This role can be based across most Southern European locations and our client has offices in Greece / Cyprus.

The Head of Projects is responsible for the management of a team of highly customer centric specialists, empowering them to deliver project solutions for a range of customers.As a member of the senior management team the Head of Projects will work closelywith stakeholders across the business and report directly to the CEO, effectively managing the department in line with the broader business objectives, balancing the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and drive the execution of the professional services / projects strategy for the business to ensure profitable growth
- Build effective strategic client relationships to drive opportunity identification, development and conversion of the business pipeline of work
- Develop and maintain a team of Professional Service specialists who are empowered to deliver customer focused outcomes with commercial awareness and urgency
- Manage all professional services projects and engagements within the business to achieve on-time/on-budget/on-spec project completions to the mutual satisfaction of both the client and the business
- Set and drive the culture across the function ensuring alignment to the business and he broader business portfolio.
- Implement and maintain best in class processes and process improvement to drive successful execution of the professional services function
- Understand and manage the business risk as it relates to professional services
- Contribute as a key member of the leadership team defining strategy for the wider business.
- Responsible for collating and presenting key business financials relating to P&L.

Desired Skills, Attributes and Experiences:

- Management & ownership experience
- Proven experience successfully delivering business and technical projects
- Experience working in a Professional Services, Projects Consultancy environment focussing on utilisation, billability, resource planning etc highly desirable
- Experience of developing and leading high performing teams ensuring development & succession plans are in place.
- Ability to influence and develop working relationships at a senior level
- A creative and highly strategic thinker
- Effective workload planning, organized, methodical and accurate
- Highly motivated working alone and as part of a team
- Demonstrable ability to identify risks and potential problems, taking appropriate action to mitigate
- Experience working across multiple business areas
- Significant commercial acumen
- Proven record of maximising opportunities and profitability
- Strong customer focus to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction

This role would suit an experienced Project / Programme Manager who has led teams. You may have come from a consultancy background and used to be selling packages of work or from a Tech / IT sector and have experience of leading sizeable projects.

This role is paying a base salary of 75,000 - 100,000 Euro pa + package.
