**Job description**:
As DIO Commercial continues to grow, now is a great opportunity to get involved with innovative infrastructure projects across our overseas estate.

Tour Length will be 2 years with the potential to extend for up to a further 6 months and/or subsequent relocation within the same organisation.

Are you a commercial professional with a background in delivering infrastructure in challenging environments or would relish the opportunity to do so?

If you would like to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and exciting environment then the Overseas & Training Team will provide that opportunity. You will be working closely with military & civilian colleagues to deliver operational effectiveness across the defence overseas estate.

You will support the delivery of infrastructure solutions across the Cyprus estate, Episkopi, Dhekelia, and Akrotiri.

**Person specification**:

- Management of the Infrastructure Support Provider (ISP) Contract
- Management of the Soft Facilities Management Cyprus Multi
- Activity Contract
- Delivery of Additional Works Services Programme
- Effective collaboration engagement and management, building influential internal relationships to ensure that commercial objectives are fully understood and embedded within the plans that deliver the client areas’ organisational strategy
- Contract Management. Managing large size, long term contracts ensuring that value is delivered over the term of the contract and that exit/recompete/extension actions are strategically planned and implemented
- Collaboration - working closely with other category leads within Defence Infrastructure Organisation.
- Line management acting as a positive and proactive role model for your team. Providing coaching and support for individual team members to build confidence in delivering their outcomes

**Essential Skills**:

- CIPS level 4
- Ability to undertake travel to overseas and UK establishments on occasion
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to quickly synthesize, distil and draw conclusions on large amounts of disparate data
- Experience of negotiations

Please be aware that as part of this role you must achieve a CIPS Level 4 and sit a MOD accreditation panel to have a letter of delegation (authority to place and amend contract on behalf of Defence).

**Desirable Experience and Skills**

**Experience**:

- Experience of gained in Procurement and Commercial activities, ideally Contract Management with the Public or Private Commercial Sector. Ideally in a complex, matrix organisation.
- Previous involvement in the design and delivery of Commercial Strategies and procurement projects
- Demonstration of excellent stakeholder engagement and management at all levels, internally and externally.
- Able to support direct reports when issues are escalated or key decisions with strategic consequences are to be made
