**Job summary**:
OC Trade Group 4 Apprenticeship (OC TG4 App Ctr) role is a unique and highly specialised post that requires a diverse set of skills. The incumbent will assist with the planning, execution and evaluation of Royal Air Force (RAF) Information Communication Technicians (ICT) and Communication Infra-structure Technicians (CIT) apprenticeship activities.

This will also include the formulation and development of strategies to improve the accreditation of TG 4 training and further develop staff through a range of mediums. They will be expected to encourage CPD for all their staff, ensuring all assessors exceed the minimum requirements for their roles; additionally, they should support any other relevant staff development opportunities.

**Job description**:
OC TG4 App Ctr is responsible to Apprenticeship Management Team (AMT) for the management of the Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) funding requirements and the TG4 App Ctr budget. As well as managing remote assessment teams, within regions, scattered geographically within the UK, they will also provide advice and guidance to OC Academic and Accreditation Group (AAG), OC Sqns and OC Flts on Apprenticeships in TG 4.

They will encourage the sharing of apprenticeship knowledge across the organisation, including the provision of specialist advice in conjunction with OC AAG and Course Maintenance & Development. Furthermore, informing No 1 Radio School executives on all training matters relating to the development, validation and maintenance of apprenticeships.

**Person specification**:
OC TG4 Apprenticeships is responsible to OC AAG for all aspects of training and assessment relating to apprenticeship development. The post holder will promote staff development and create a sharing culture throughout the department/ organisation to enhance and integrate technology where it can add value to the assessment of learning.

Duties of the role include, but aren't limited to:

- Command and Line Management of TG4 App Ctr staff at remote satellite sites and the centre at Cosford.
- Developing, maintaining and implementing TG4 App Ctr staff (inc regional based staff) training, development and assessor/verifier standardisation plan.
- Be the point of contact, and No 1 Radio School advisor for external audits of Apprenticeship delivery (i.e., OFSTED).
- Monitoring and monthly reporting to higher authority on the progress off all Funded/Non-Funded programme achievements.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining costing templates on behalf of AMT for ICT & CIT Apprenticeships.
- Evaluating accreditation processes and procedures to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and auditing to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Managing the Accreditation budgets, ensuring expenditure is appropriates IAW No 22 Group/ ESFA guidelines.
- Liaison with internal stakeholders and civilian organisations to advise/ report recommendations from the Awarding Organisations for continuous improvement.
- Following departmental best practice in Staff Management to ensure commitment to Equal Opportunities and Diversity, to enable staff to achieve their full potential.
- Attending or being a representative at meetings that encompass the OC TG4 App Ctr sphere of responsibilities.

**Desirable** **- the following knowledge, skills and experience are desirable**:
1) Experience of the UK military training environment.
2) Familiarity with UK apprenticeship governance frameworks.

**Qualifications**:
