Job description

We are currently recruiting a part time (3.5 hours per week) **Research Project Administrator**on a fixed-term basis until 2 February 2026 to join us and provide comprehensive administrative support to the delivery of a British Council (BC) funded Transnational Educational (TNE) research project.

The TNE collaboration research project between Edinburgh Napier University (UK) and University of Uyo (Nigeria) aims to leverage digital technologies to strengthen collaboration and create new partnerships that boost innovation, engender sustainability and drive inclusiveness as a way of building capacity of Built Environment professionals in Technical, Vocational, Education and Training (TVET) for construction education targeted at producing employable generation of construction artisans, technicians and professionals that will drive the construction 4.0.

**The Role**

The role holder will provide senior administrative support for the BC funded research project including ensuring compliance with funder financial tracking, managing invoices and receipts, contributing to project management responsibilities such as convening of project meetings, preparing project minutes and reports and preparing for audits.

**What we will need from you**

We are looking for individuals with a strong administrative background and a general enthusiasm for making a positive difference. As well as this, you will need:

- An education to degree level in a relevant built environment discipline or equivalent professional experience
- Experience of dealing with financial tracking of projects
- Experience of Worktribe and Agresso, or equivalent research management and financial systems
- Experience of preparing budgetary and other financial reports
- Experience of working in a busy office/research environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Confident IT user of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Self-motivated and with good organisational skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and to prioritise workload amongst competing priorities
