**Research Administrator**

**Grade: UE05 Salary Range: £24,285.00 - £27,929.00 (per annum)**

**Open-ended contract (permanent role)**

**Full time (35 hours/week)**

**The Opportunity**:
All members of the team provide cover for each other to ensure adequate service across the Research, KE and Impact Office when other members of the team are on leave or to maintain adequate service at peak times.

**Your Skills and Attributes for success**:

- Educated to at least N/SVQ 3 or equivalent level, plus typically at least 2 years’ relevant administrative work experience in an HEI Research Office environment.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills: ability to exercise judgement and initiative to work without direct supervision and prioritise own work within the annual cycle and in response to academic-driven developments.
- Ability to sustain a high performance whilst under pressure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal competence.
- Strong IT skills and ability to quickly learn to use a range of packages including non-standard systems, such as PURE (REF submission) and Worktribe (grant preparation and maintenance).
- Ability to work as a team member and to motivate and guide others.
