This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative team that work closely together to determine best ways of working. This is a Technical Support Officer role within our Street Works Team and will require extensive and up to date knowledge of street works legislation and the codes of practice that cover safety at street works and the technical reinstatement requirements.

Your next role

As part of the team you will also assist the Senior Network Coordinator with escalation matters and other Street Works Inspectors to continually assess current ways of working and to determine if these can be improved.

You will need excellent telephone skills which are essential as is an ability to work well under pressure, manage conflicting demands and respond to customer complaints.
You will have experience working in an office related environment, ideally in a highways related field, although this is not necessary.

You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act, for the effective performance of a customer-facing role). Whilst you need not be a car owner, an ability to travel throughout the Borough to undertake site visits is essential.
