If you are friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic about bladder and bowel health in children, young people, and adults, we would love to hear from you. We are the Bladder and Bowel Specialist Service team covering Cornwall and Isles of Scilly, and we are looking for the right person to join our friendly team. This role adds to our very experienced clinical and admin team, providing the following skills:
- Dealing with telephone enquiries
- Typing letters and booking clinic appointments
- Taking meeting notes and arranging meetings
- An ability to use electronic record keeping systems, especially RiO
- Using Excel and Word and a range of other Trustwide systems for ordering equipment and managing information
- Administrative team management and support

This role will be challenging and varied, but ultimately a rewarding role that will provide an opportunity, for the right person, to become a key member of the team. A high degree of flexibility is required to meet the day-to-day challenges of the service. Excellent time management, communication and people management skills are required as is a good sense of humour.
This post is 28 hours per week following standard office hours, based at St Austell Community Hospital. However, due to the recent pandemic, working from home continues to be encouraged.
**Main duties of the job**:
To work as a Team Secretary to ensure all secretarial and administrative support to the Bladder and Bowel Specialist Service Team is promptly met; this includes typing, taking phone calls, transcribing minutes of meetings and general day to day support.
To ensure effective lines of communication between the administrative team members, clinical team members, patients and others, whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.
