**Role: Children's Care Worker**
**Salary: Up to £26,500.00 per annum, including annual sleep in allowance and dependant on experience plus welcome bonus of £200 - £300 and *another £200 - £300 once you pass your probation (minimum six months)**
**Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire**
**Hours: 40 hours per week - 2 days on, 4 days off shift pattern**
**Essential: A full driving licence, the willingness to work towards a Level 3 QCF Diploma in Children and Young People and the Right to Work in the UK**

Acorn Education & Care are recruiting Children’s Care Workers to join our teams within the Shrewsbury area. Your empathy and warmth will enable you to support vulnerable children aged 7-18 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Thismeans that the Children we care for may have experienced challenging or traumatic upbringings and may have difficulties with anxiety, mental health or in some cases self-harm.
Working with our young people at Upper Woodcote **based in Bowbrook, Shrewsbury, **you’ll be part of a team supporting 2 children to develop the life skills and enjoy the life experiences they need to have bright futures.
Upper Woodcote is **based in Bowbrook,** and within commutable distance from Codsall, Birmingham, Shrewsbury and surrounds.
**Contracts available - Full Time Days**

- Become the “go to” person for help, support and guidance with their everyday needs
- Willingness to learn not only about the people we support, but the ins and outs of Children’s Residential Care, by working towards a **funded qualification in Level 4 Apprenticeship for Children Young People and Families Practitioner** (ifyou do not currently hold this or equivalent)
