**Job title**: Project Support Officer
**Job Length**: Temporary (cover)
**Pay**: £10.39 / Hr)
**KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**
2. Gather and assist with the review, collation, and storage of corporate statutory records as part of compliance with property, occupation, and construction legislation requirements. This includes but is not limited to the collection and distribution of RAMS and Health and Safety File (CDM) information.
3. Giving assistance with the preparation of budgets. Participate in ledger reconciliation and the monitoring of finances and project specific costs. Provide holiday cover for other members of the Capital works team or wider Property Services team to administer the Services’ financial systems, including ordering, processing invoices, payment of bills, reconciliation of goods and orders with computer financial printout.
4. Procure small works subcontracts (low value single trade with control hold points) and materials, prepare corresponding subcontract shorts orders and purchase orders with supervision.
5. Be responsible for the efficient management and control of all contract documentation including drawing registers, change notes, Contract Instructions, tender enquiries, technical queries, Early Warning Notices, and relevant filing systems, scanning of information linking information to databases and to implement changes as necessary.
6. Participate in the gathering of information, evidencing and evaluation of single-issue contract variation
7. Provide temporary cover for other capital works team staff for attendance at coordination meetings. To take minutes at meetings, which would then be checked by the Chair/authorised person before distribution.
8. Establish and maintain effective two-way communication with staff, colleagues, Members and customers, seeking out and responding to opinions in order to further enhance the quality-of-service delivery.
9. Undertake such other duties that are required from time to time and are commensurate with this position.

- To promote best practice in meeting the requirements of general Health and Safety legislation and construction specific statutory legislation including the CDM Regulations.
- To ensure that the Council’s corporate and service specific health and safety policies are followed and training is undertaken in all relevant health and safety procedures
