The WBS Teaching & Learning Enhancement Team plays a pivotal role in supporting and developing pedagogic practices and innovations at Warwick Business School. We are seeking applicants interested in elearning, digital publishing and multimedia creation to join our resources team, working with academics and support staff across the School to support the work of the Teaching and Learning Enhancement Team.
You will principally be responsible for coordinating the lecture recording (WBS lecture capture) service. You will also work across various aspects of Teaching and Learning Enhancement, contributing to the work of media and digital publishing teams as required.
You will be working on a variety of tasks across multiple projects with differing deadlines so it is vital that you can manage concurrent tasks effectively and keep an accurate record of progress. As a key member of the team, you will need to combine good technical skills with effective teamwork, excellent communication skills and an awareness of good customer service. You should be confident in communicating with a range of audiences, including students and academics.
You must be educated to at least GCSE level, including good passes in English and Mathematics, and must be computer and web literate. Experience of using Excel spreadsheets to manage data is essential, as well as accuracy and meticulous attention to detail. Experience of using image-editing software, web design and video-editing software would be helpful but this is not essential.
You will be part of a dynamic team that is always working to develop its practices and continuously improve learning materials, so a flexible attitude and willingness to try new approaches and learn new skills is desirable.

**JOB PURPOSE**
The WBS Teaching & Learning Enhancement Team is an integral part of teaching and learning at Warwick Business School. We provide expertise in the areas of technology enhanced learning; assessment and feedback; online materials development and pedagogical innovation. We also play a strategic role in embedding innovative and high-quality approaches to teaching and learning throughout the Business School.
The post-holder will contribute to the work of the team in a number of ways. Around 50% of the post-holder’s time will be taken up with the coordination of the WBS lecture capture service, responding to queries, making lecture capture bookings, coordinating with the Central University Audio Visual team, ensuring that recordings are available for students to view and providing guidance and support to academics. Additional tasks will be assigned by the line manager for the post as they are required, and are detailed under “Duties and Responsibilities”, below.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. Coordinate the WBS lecture capture service:
- Schedule and manage lecture recordings for taught modules, as well as ad hoc requests for recordings (e.g. guest lectures)
- Deal with technical and administrative issues as they arise
- Maintain guidance for academics, students and the Teaching and Learning Enhancement team.
- Review and report on lecture capture statistics
- Support academics with editing/sharing recordings
- Contribute to the identification of areas for service improvement.
2. Support academics in recording screencasts and then editing them to produce high-quality videos for use in multimedia study materials (using TechSmith Camtasia).
3. Provide technical support to academics, administrative staff and students during the delivery of live interactive webcasts to students (using Blackboard Collaborate).
4. Facilitate the recording of student group presentations and make such recordings available to Module Leaders and External Examiners.
5. Check and edit teaching and learning materials to make sure that they meet mínimal accessibility requirements.
6. Upload audio and video files for transcription and check accuracy of subtitles and transcripts.
7. Help to maintain and develop our online video library.
